When you’re on a noisy subway, the system turns up ANC, and when you’re in a quiet office where full isolation isn’t needed or safe, it turns it down. This dynamic adjustment happens without you having to do anything as you move through different environments and keeps the best noise cancellation possible. The Galaxy AI processing happens on the device itself to cut down on lag time, so the changes feel like they happen right away instead of after a delay.
The Adaptive Equalizer uses Galaxy AI to make the sound better based on how well the earbuds fit in your ears because the sound changes when the seal quality is different for different people. Regular earbuds sound different depending on how deep they are in your ear and how they fit, but this system measures how sound travels through your ear canal and changes the frequency response to match. No matter how big or small your ear canals are or how hard it is for you to get a good seal with standard silicone tips, the sound quality is always the same.
Real-Time Interpreter lets you hear foreign language speakers in your preferred language while they hear their own: It does this by translating conversations through your earbuds when you are talking to someone face-to-face. The feature works with Samsung’s translation engine to process speech on your connected Galaxy phone, and then it sends the translated audio to your earbuds with very little delay. This is very useful when you travel to other countries or work with people who speak different languages because it gets rid of the need to hold phones between people or use separate translator devices.
With the Samsung Phone app, call translation lets you talk on the phone with people from other countries and get real-time translation during the call. Both people hear translations in their own languages, which makes it easier for them to talk to each other without language barriers getting in the way. The audio routing keeps your voice and the translated response separate and clear, so you don’t get confused like you do with translation apps that play audio through phone speakers during calls.
The new physical shape has stems that are more like those on AirPods Pro than the old flush in-ear design which makes them more stable when you move and gives you better leverage for touch controls. The stem design also has extra microphones that improve call quality and ANC performance. These microphones are closer to your mouth, which makes it easier for them to pick up your voice. Even with the stem added, the earbuds are still light and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They spread pressure over a larger area of the ear than designs that only go in the ear.
With ANC turned on, the battery lasts about 6 to 7 hours on a single charge. The case holds several extra charges, giving you a total listening time of about 25 to 30 hours. Fast charging gives you an hour of playback time from just five minutes in the case and this is helpful when you grab the earbuds and find out they’re dead right before you leave the house.
These premium earbuds with AI features cost less than mid-tier models from other brands because they come with a $90 discount and a 2-year Amazon warranty. If you use a Samsung phone or want flagship features without the high price of Apple products, these earbuds are a great deal.
